Jennifer has a track record of success for many types of client projects. Check out these short case studies to see her impact.
Surpassing a nonprofit client’s sweepstakes goal
- Situation: Nonprofit client the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation (MPLF) tasked the agency where I worked with brainstorming a fundraiser that would raise $25,000 in ~3 weeks and would generate enthusiasm for the library foundation within their local community.
- Tasks:
- Collaborated with the client, sales lead and designer on strategy to tie a sweepstakes in with the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.
- Wrote all digital content assets for a consistent messaging strategy, updated campaign microsite on the RallyUp fundraising platform, ran email marketing through MailChimp, built a content calendar and posted to social media.
- Outcome: Sweepstakes raised $26,875, or 107% of the initial goal.
Saving money and time for a university guide
- Situation: DePaul University Housing had a comprehensive student policy guide that needed to be updated yearly, but it was outdated, bloated, expensive and hard to update midyear. This was a multiyear effort that showed how even small changes at a time can have a large impact.
- Tasks:
- Convened a task force 2015-16 to deeply examine the content and see what was still needed (and what wasn’t).
- Switched print vendors and changed page size, page count and binding style in 2016-17, creating cost savings and enabling easier distribution across campus.
- Moved interactive PDF publishing in-house, away from an overseas vendor, in 2017-18 so the Housing marketing team could use InDesign to make changes.
- Outcome: Saved $8,500 in print costs in the first year and streamlined the process for making edits in later all-digital versions.
